Computing

Our computing curriculum equips children with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a digital world. Children build on their prior learning each year to develop a deeper understanding of technology.
Our curriculum covers three main strands:

Computer science — children explore algorithms, learn to code and solve problems through logical thinking
Information Technology — children learn how to create, use and evaluate a range of digital content
Digital Literacy — we place a strong emphasis on online safety, teaching children how to stay safe, responsible and respectful online

As a school we celebrate Safer Internet Day and welcome visitors such as Wiltshire Police Outreach to deliver age-appropriate workshops. Children are encouraged to be creative, confident and critical users of technology, preparing them for the ever-evolving digital world.
