Admissions Arrangements

ADMISSION POLICY

As a Voluntary Controlled Primary School, admissions to Hilperton are controlled by Wiltshire Council.

All the information you require, together with the relevant forms and policies, can be found on the Wiltshire Council website page ‘Applying for a school place’ and ‘Forms, guides and policy documents’

We will be holding a number of open days and tours for those with children due to start school in September 2027 during the Autumn (dates to be confirmed).

Pupil Admission Number (PAN)

Every local authority-maintained school has a pupil admission number (PAN) which sets a limit to how many children the school is obliged to admit into its reception class each year. It is often used a broad indicator of year group size for other year groups. Currently our PAN is 25. 

Information for parents/carers of children in Y1-6 wishing to start at Hilperton:

Please note that in order to ensure the transfer is the most successful it can be it is essential that the online application is completed fully. Prior to any transfer being agreed we will contact the Headteacher of your child’s/children’s current and previous schools.
